Yes, It did already exist here.
It had two seasons, one in 2006 and the other in 2007; It used to air on Rotana.

I just finished watching the first episode and wasn't much impressed with the talent.
And now I'm watching the second episode, hoping the talent picks up.

So far I'm liking Elissa and Carole as judges, Wael is nice but overdoing it a little. And Hussein remains irrelevant

I know right, it would be all over the place if it aired on MBC.

Plus, at least it would've been in HD

Episode 3 is a little better, but I can't at Wael throwing a Nicki on Idol and walking off set :ahh

X Factor and Arab Idol are such flops. Nancy was just brought to idol for the ratings but she's not gonna save that sinking ship. Elissa, Wael and Hussein are such flop judges and mentors. Wael and Elissa need to stop acting so diva it's annoying. Carole is an amazing judge and mentor.
