Gardens of Delete was a really fun listen, and a neat experience.

AA and Honeybear are both excellent albums. At this point, I'd say everything is pretty great, so it's all more or less how much I personally liked them.

No I wasn't really serious about that reason for not watching Spectre. I was just trolling there I've just been really lazy when it comes to watching movies this year.

I really liked his album a lot, it's not the flashiest album, but I kind of like the folky and country thing so his album clicked with me (and his album isn't the last folk/country album either), but All These Dreams It's kind of old fashioned goodness without feeling like it's biting too hard from the past.

FJM cracks me up. Love the guy. If he kept his Blank Space cover uploaded, I probably would've included that here.

OPN's album is a little loud, if that doesn't work, I would highly suggest Replica from 2011, it's more ambient, and one of my favorite albums.

Great! I hope you like him. Andrew's album wasn't ground breaking or anything, but it was a consistent listen.

I like the Grimes album, but yeah, it just wasn't my favorite pop album.

My write-up for Art Angels album was a little facetious. I love a couple songs on the album and really like it, but I don't love the album as a whole. I'd say, it's one of those albums that I'll pick a random track off and play it, rather than listen all the way through.

The Andrew Combs album was just a chill listen through the year.

I thought Rocky's album was a grower. I was kind of let down because there really wasn't anything as great as Wild For The Night, or 1 Train, or ****in Problems, but it grew on me and I like it more than his first album.

Garden of Delete is great! I love OPN.

15: Drake - Legend


"If I die, all I know is I'm a motha****in' legend" is how Drake chooses to open up his If You're Reading This Its Too Late mixtape. He delivers it coolly, in a matter-o-fact way. He knows it's true, and to be honest, I kind of saw Legend as Drake's indirect response to what Kendrick's verse on Big Sean's unreleased bonus track Control. Kendrick called out Drake among others, saying "I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you ******/ Trying to make sure your core fans never heard of you ******" and Drake's response seemed to be, to just brush it all off.

It's also an entertaining brag track and perfectly sets the mood for the mixtape, setting up the 6 God's ego and rule over the 6. It's also endlessly listenable and gotta love that Ginuwine sample! Legends don't even need good penmanship

14: Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime


This is Coldplay's highest placing song this year. The first single from A Head Full Of Dreams, and a clear departure from their Ghost Stories gloom. The whole song is just an endless celebratory disco party,"everything you want’s a dream away. under this pressure under this weight / we are diamonds taking shape" Chris sings over cascading synth bursts. It's Coldplay at their corny best, but looking forward, celebrating the pressures of life that simultaneously shape us and make it worth living.

13: Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money


I didn't think much of this one at first. It just sounded so formless and unpolished, especially after the endlessly replayable FourFiveSeconds, I was ready to throw my hands in the air and just wait for the album (obviously I didn't, and I am glad I didn't), but I stuck with this song because I liked Rih's attitude, and come on, the song is just quotable even if you don't like it. It all came together for me though, and just became a good time. Fun Fact: The single cover is also my favorite cover art from her.

I love how it's about Rih taking control and running the game, which makes a very positive statement, and fits how she's been trolling endlessly with the release of her album The only glaring untruth in BBHMM is her line "Every time I drive by, I'm the only thing you're playin,'" it would have been true if she only released Anti

I don't know why this wasn't the biggest hit of the year, it would have been everything in the 90s. YG (temporarily?) left DJ Mustard behind to make this G-Funk jam. .

11: P. Lovato - Out Of The Basement For The Summer

This was the year that Poot finally delivered Poot's masterpiece. Poot crawled out of Demi's basement for the first time and hooked up with Max Martin for this turbo-charged 80s inspired pop masterpiece. Everything from those guitars to the little backing "ooOOoooOoooos," to the bright piano, to the stomping beat hits hard, like Demi smacking you with the basement door, right as you almost escape from your basement, and then smashing your favorite mug just for fun..

It's energetic, full of personality, everything pop should be. "Take Me DOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNN" back to the basement.

I like Coldplay's first single at first but like after a couple of days I got over it. I still use it sometimes. Some folks who I will not mention go a bit too hard on it.
