She has managed to beat every album to come out since Feb. Born This Way (album) was #1 here in Australia for only 1 week, and then ADELE's 21 came along and just added more weeks to its reign. In Aus, Beyonce's 4 didn't even hit #1, ADELE just fought off anyone coming for her spot. Something like this has happened all around the world, too.
Singles wise, ADELE is currently reigning Australia with "Someone Like You", she has hit #1 in the UK for weeks, also with SLY. "Rolling in the Deep" was #1 in the US for ages, and has just recently been taken off the top spot.
With the world currently at ADELE's feet, I would SHOCKED if Adele DIDN'T win the award. I don't see how anyone can possibly be awarded while competing with ADELE.
Of course I am just speaking in the general field. There is a high possibilty that 21 will be nominated for "Best Pop Vocal", along with what I hope will be Rihanna's Loud. With all the success I expect ADELE to get in the general field, I hope that Rihanna will be able to still win. It seems unlikely that Rih will win against ADELE, but it is possible.
