The problem isn't how many plots/sub-plots there are, it's that some Are pointless or are dropped out of nowhere, there can be many different stories but they need to come to a conclusion that makes sense
So she's going to look at the camera then, considering that's a screencap.
Maybe that's the first time we see her, or she is having a talk over moment. I always find it confronting when actors look at the camera, if it's done right it can be very powerful.
it looks life it could be from some kind of teaser or the trailer (but they said is from the first episode, so I'm intrigued now). I love the look btw.
