Nah, I say leave it until mid-Autumn to lower the price. Think about it. Sales of the #1 album this week were only 30k. Gaga sold 7.2k. The benefit of being high in the charts at this time of year is minimal. Having the album at a higher price is likely to be more profitable for the label at this point in time. As we approach the shopping season of Christmas, discounts and price cuts will generate more profit for the label, so that will be the time to reduce the cost of the album.

SLY won't have a video. Adele hasn't made videos since RITD. SFTTR didn't get one in the UK, and over here they just used her Brits performance as the video on music channels.

I've said this many times before, Adele performing at the VMAs isn't likely to do as much as Gaga, because the VMAs are about attention and drama and controversy. The Grammys will give Adele an opportunity to steal the show with an amazing vocal.
