I had a dream of a million people on the National Mall chanting "Madam President."

I mean, Kamala or Tammy or Liz could still make that dream come true, but Hillary deserved it.

I remember waking up at 5 am on Election night and checking the states rollout and just then it was announced that Trump won Wisconsin and it was officially over for Hillary and I was sad and shaking even though I'm not even american

but I do wanna live there one day

I was depressed the entire day at school and thought maybe Hillary flipped some red states and won but when I got home and got the gist of things I got even sadder.

I had an election night watch party at my place....hosted a group friends, had food, drinks, decorations and even party favors

Literally the WORST party ever!! It was so depressing and I was in shock, I gave up on my hosting duties midway threw smh

I had a meltdown the day after and kept crying. Luckily I'm good now and got over it in 2 days but omg it was hell.

The first day, I was a little numb and couldn't believe it happened. But by the second day, I remembered the country we lived in and knew why it all went down like that. I don't even want to go back on my posts like Icarus because I made so many out-of-touch yass queen statements

I was hyperventilating the entire night. Went to sleep at like 11. Couldn't handle it. Kept waking up in the middle of night seeing if Wisconsin, PA, and Michigan would come thru last minute. Never happened. Cried the entire next day. Felt mild depression for the next 2 days.

I've accepted the outcome now, but everything keeps reminding me of her and what could've been. Like I just left seeing Fantastic Beast and the president is a woman and they kept saying "Madame President".

I spent like 4 hours straight listening to "I Will Survive" after it became clear that she had lost. The day after, I stayed in bed until like 4pm, didn't shower, barely ate, avoided my family...

I expected this in 2020. I figured that Hillary would have her 4 years, and Republicans would do everything they could to undermine her at every turn and then she would lose her re-election bid to an actually qualified Republican candidate.

I was tossin and turnin the whole night, couldn't sleep...went to work the next morning, the lone black person in my office, and everyone kept passin by my desk askin 'are you ok'. I almost lost it when my boss said somethin to me (I know ha ass voted for Trump)

I feel the same as most, if not all of you. election night when the results came in i pathetically prayed [i'm not religious] but it was the last hope i had before donald was announced president

and then i cried. couldn't stop myself. i cried a little in bed, and went to sleep. i cried more, and called my dad and cried again. i don't think i ate much either. i just felt like the world had grown so much darker. it was my fear that he'd become president and i'm still shocked by it.

So if Trump and his deplorables want to try and reverse marriage equality how hard or easy will that be once the last Supreme Court justice is appointed?

Impossible because it was a conservative/Republican appointed justice who gave us the victory in 2015.

It'll still be a 5-4 decision like last time. Even the 3 who voted no last time might vote yes this time because it's hard to reverse something like that when millions of LGBT folks are married now.

We just have to pray our 4 liberal justices remain alive and well.

Filling the vacancy won't make a difference because the 5 judges that voted in favor of marriage equality (Ginsburg, Kagan, Sotomayor, Kennedy, Breyer) will still be on the bench.

We only have to worry if any of those five die / resign during Donald's term; I doubt any will resign (Kagan and Sotomayor are relatively young, the others will probably want to wait for a better president to appoint their replacements), so really it's just a question of whether any will die.
