say what you want about that scene, but it was perfectly executed. the fact that so many people were disgusted and threatened to stop watching the show demonstrates how effective it was in conveying what d&d wanted.
everything from the delicate snow falling at the wedding, the horrid twist of fate after sansa showing signs of assertiveness, to her amazing dress which resembled wings, only for them to be torn in half by ramsay.
it was executed perfectly. the same goes (albeit to a lesser extent) with shireen's death. people invest their emotions too much in these scenes to look at them objectively.
on the subject of emmys, lena headey needs one already. she completely stole the show, her walk of atonement cemented this.
