Them girls deserve the success. They have worked non stop for the past year promoting their albums and each single. Thats why they have scored consecutive #1s.
They are more established on pop radio than Britney. Katy and Rihanna are the hottest girls in the business, their music gets played every hour. But its no coincidence that they have promoted more than the other girls though.
Promotion = airplay. And thats why Britney repeatedly falls behind the rest despite having more fans.
