My point is Rihanna has done urban and urban-lite songs her entire career. She's always embraced her blackness and her Caribbean background, even if she is a bit whitewashed, like all major black pop stars have been at some point.

And our point is that the Navy has NO business accusing Beyoncé of being whitewashed when Rihanna is aswell (in my opinion even more but whatever). As usual the Navy has no conscience of their hypocrisy.
There's so much more to music than these floozies that get paid more money than any of us will ever see. At the end of the day, I love artists like Rihanna and Kesha; but when it comes to musical quality and/or respect, almost none of these losers are doing a fraction of what many musicians, mainstream or not, have done.
Bey's husband made her release an album every year for 7 years. Of course they wouldn't do the same **** all the time
And let's be honest she was only given the songs to sing, had nothing to do with any creative direction her career took.
Pls shut up with these fairytales and lies.
Rihanna may not write all her **** but she definitely controlled what went on her albums. Hence her fighting for songs like Umbrella, Disturbia and WFL and getting them. Y'all don't work for her or know anything about her creative process, but swear y'all was in those boardroom meetings with her team. Hush.
MOTS - zero dance-pop songs.

Shows that people aren't really interested in her album tracks which nobody cares to listen. Singles artist indeed
Not like the few people here are representative of the whole population. If they aren't familiar nor care then they shouldn't really be making any "denial of heritage" claims.

She's only performed at an Urban music awards one time in her entire career
She is MORE. Which is why she doesn't get as much support there. Accept it sister.
I like my baby heir with baby hair and afros
I like my negro nose with Jackson Five nostrils
Earned all this money but they never take the country out me
I got a hot sauce in my bag, swag

I'm not the one being a hypocrite here. I called out the racist Navy members earlier. I personally don't feel the need to drag and criticize Beyoncé to uplift Rihanna. In all actuality, I agree that Rihanna is way more whitewashed than Bey, which is why even has racist fans to begin with.
...I need to remember that I rarely ever start these discussions and am not obligated to participate in them.
