The saddest part is how she's done the most so that the final skit comes true since then.

Yeah it makes me think she is aware of what people say, not that its a bad thing. But I think even tho she goes downhill from here on, she will always be remember cause of the Meet Dress and the Vessel. ICONIC!

Maybe it's too soon on the tour, but she doesn't seem to have producers with her?

I do know one thing, that title wasn't the best idea ever.

ARTPOP seemed meh and pretentious at first, but ever since I've realized that calling Gaga is pretentious is just another meaningless word to tear her down. She says she is an artist, she creates music which is an art form, but because she is a pop star and a celebrity we deny her work any integrity and use that as another way to tear her down.
If she says her ****'s art, than it's art - and we need to stand with her.

And isn't she supposed to have Terry with her to capture the kickoff of the artRave ?
Still waiting for that XX book to add to my X.

I wish Madonna and Gaga would made up and unite and put out the most iconic collab with mind-blowing visuals, but we all know Madge is too stuck up with herself for that

We've never known a non-pretentious Gaga, which is why I ignore folk using it to insult her now. Did they just forgot her rambling struggling artiste monologues? Her Candy Warhol interludes? Her whole bloody Lady Gaga/Haus of Gaga carry on? Pretentious. But not inherently bad.
I went to art college and the self-important, over analysed and deluded 'my work can change the world' attitude is commonplace. That's how many artists act/talk, and they don't really mean to be obnoxious...it's just that they genuinely love and believe in what they do. It's passion. The way she talks actually makes her more of an "artist" in my eyes because of that, despite people on here thinking the opposite.
Regarding your last point - we don't need to do or say anything. What she does is art. By definition, she is crafting something out of nothing using creative skill. "Art" isn't reserved for high brow work. Art can be a finger painting by a child, it can be a hyper-realistic drawing, and it can be a urinal on a podium. "What is art?" is a debate which has raged for centuries, and some online stans aren't doing anything by dismissing Gaga for calling her work art because it's not a landscape painting.

Hmmm. I guess she must just be waiting for the tour to settle before adding on more side projects.

They'll do it when they both feel it'll benefit them. They could have made it happen before, but Gaga didn't seem all that interested. May be different now that she's tasted flop.

After a nice refreshing ban, I am back. I missed the tour opening but I won't actually be watching too much of the show until I see it live in person. I do have to say that I prefer the pacing of the artrave over the BTWB. (The BTWB was a bit slow towards the beginning but it picks up and is amazing towards the end). I will say though as I was gone that I feel like a lot of you worry about the wrong damn things. Gaga is a grown ass woman, and although I love her with all my heart, she can defend herself. Some of us put ourselves in a position to defend her for things that we're purely being baited on by the other fanbases. If you guys actually ignored it and let it fly, they wouldn't bother as much.
Meowster, to answer your question, I feel that being a Gaga fan is hard now a days. However, I've always felt that it was hard because even though many loved her she has always had just as many that hated her. Only now, there's many who just don't agree with her decisions as of lately for whatever reasons. Unfortunately, you're paying for years worth of Gaga fans bullying other fan bases back when Gaga was the top dog. It's not your fault, my fault, or Gaga's really.

Omg I listened to it in full yesterday for like the first time in months and it was so good
I got my life to Americano for the first time and I had this wonderful epiphany about how the outro to Highway Unicorn is like one of the best things she's done

I think the theme for the album should have been understated and cleverly introduced through an interview in which she revealed that the album is a collection of songs in which she feels that she is blending art( the fashion and everything) and pop ( the music) together on a record. The rest of the interviews could have just been about how the songs are made to party and be really fun. That's a much more strategic and less overbearing way that I feel she should have done it. But I will stand by her and I do love the album.
