Remember a few months back when a lot of people said that Complicated should be a single. If CKB was a relative flop, imagine how Complicated would of performed. This is from someone who has so much love towards this amazingly brilliant song.
Complicated is more radio-friendly than California King Bed.

That's true, but CKB was meant to be the 'Big Girls Don't Cry' of the album.
Were we all just being delusional when we were predicting how CKB would do on the charts. Back when we were making the predictions they all seemed quite reasonable tbh...

I remember when people thought CKB would be the biggest hit of the era... and that Man Down would be a defining song of her career.

Man Down was a guaranteed flop before its release. It may be epic but it's not what general public wants right now. People prefer songs about party, sex and drugs with typical club banger beat. Man Down is the opposite of that IMO.
If they release Man Down to pop i think I'd be the next Forget You/Rolling In The Deep. But I'd rather they went with Cheers. But I'm guessing the rerelease single is next.

... I highly doubt that.
I wish we could just get into the EP single already.

I agree, and it's sad that that is all we expect from our pop stars.
US radio is very static & unwilling to pick up songs that are different. Rolling In the Deep & Forget You slayed pop because they were great sellers without the pop support anyway. They only pick up "different" songs if the public has already picked the said different song up digitally. They are never the first to make a move. Radio stations are a bunch of followers, & rarely innovators.

CKB was always going to need promotion in order to do well. I said from the beginning she'd need to perform on a spring/summer show for it to smash. Ballads rarely pick up on their own like uptempos do. Not performing on the Billboards is what ruined CKB's chances.
I'll admit I'm not a big fan, but what the heck is the point in California King Bed and Mandown? Why do they exist? Why were they released as singles? And where's the love for Who's That Chick? That's the best song she's released since Umbrella! And it's not even on the tour setlist?!

Yup. They only picked up J.Lo's On the Floor because it was doing so well on iTunes. I remember an article saying radio stations were waiting to see how it did before they started playing it.
