As for the deluxe ... I am really disappointed or angry even. I love love love
love this album, and it is easily one of my favorite music albums ever. But these bonus tracks may be anything but they sure ain't 'deluxe'.
I think Mary is doing a horrid job, I can hardly listen to her intro. But "Betcha Gon' Know" is the worsT. R. Kelly's verse is humiliating.
Quote:
Me and her on the couch
And the whole plan was just to chill
And then it got hot, we were taking some shots
The time must have slipped away
Because all I know I woke up hangover [...]
I know it sounds crazy
But she must have put something in my drink [...]
So don't go accusing me of something that I really didn't mean to do

What kind of contradicting and cowardly lyrics? I feel embarassed for him to write and sing such verse.
And why did Mariah not rework the remixes a least a little bit? Kelly's verse sounds like it was copied and pasted in, it probably was the same sound engineer that uploaded the wrong version of "Letting Go".

She could have at least have the decency to scratch the "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" in the beginning and the "To be continued" at the end.
And then the very exclusive
Japanese and Target bonus track is a version of "
America The Beautiful" that she actually premiered during a 'live' performance last summer.
I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that some kind of contract thing was the reason for putting the remixes on the 'deluxe'. But I am not going to use them. I pretend it's just the standard version plus "Letting Go" producing a flawless album.
