What you can do:
- Request a ban through HQ,
Help Request, or to a specific mod directly. I'd presume preferably a Help Request.
- Any amount of time is generally allowed.
- Request a permaban.
- Ask to be unbanned early through Twitter (@ATRLFeedback or a mod's if you know one) or relayed message through another member.
What you can't do:

Ask for a ban if you have too many active warning points. If you're not sure, they'll let you know if you're not allowed.
- Ask to be unbanned at a specific time. I believe the system goes by days and will automatically unban you at the
time you were initially banned.
As for your thread situation, you can grant the OP to absolutely anyone you like, it's your thread. Just inform the staff of your decision with the same options given above.
