Taylor is snatching those #1s because there is literally 0 competition right now all over the world, just a bunch of 1 hit wonders on the charts, her numbers will be a frontloaded mess.
Although I'm always here for Taylor dragging, it seems like the writer is trying to criticize her solely for going pop. There's nothing wrong with crossing over to pop unless you think pop is inherently inferior as a genre. The problem is that she's crossing over badly. We are Never Ever Getting Back Together at least worked as a better written, more interesting rewrite of Since U Been Gone, but this new pop single of Taylor's is such a compilation of every lame trend in pop over the last couple years. All it's missing is a half-baked dubstep breakdown after the bridge.
I hate the word "overproduced," too. Whenever people say that they're usually just whining about dance music.

Even Work Bitch was higher in most of those markets (minus US & Australia). Us Germans are still not here for her at all.
SIO is #1 in Spain, Norway and Sweden (#2 in UK and other European countries) I can't believe Europe is finally accepting her. This is her first iTunes #1 in those 3 countries.
not to rain on anyone's parade but a iTunes #1 single means nothing here(scandinavia) now, the sales are that abysmal. DWUW was #1 for like weeks and it barely got the song into top 10 Spotify is bigger here than anywhere else. The song is gonna be huge on streaming too though so no worries
