I don't know for some reason adding a banjo to a song validates it to some people. I don't understand that reasoning because throwing a banjo on to gangam style won't make it country. And there's plenty of amazing country songs without banjos. But for some reason banjo=country for certain individuals. But YBWM also started out country and that's a huge factor. You fan remix any song for country too. Kelly Clarkson's done it. Train...And she was 19 when she released it still had the teen there. She'll be solidly 23 if 22 gets released. Plus she's already released quota of lyrically vapid fun pop songs for this era. Lets encourage her to show off those songwriting skills!
I will personally smack her if she ever does another country mix of a song. It's her core format, she's been calling herself a country artist recently, she's not leaving anytime soon. Girl can release songs to pop, she can remix songs to pop, but she should never, ever, have to remix a song for country ever again. I think they learned their lesson there.
