I disagree with everyone saying Lush Life needs a solo, Everytime We Say Goodbye is the winner for me. Vocally she comes close to sounding near identical to Judy Garland and its majestic.

However, this album is very solid for sure, more good reviews will come in for sure.

Not at all, if there are 20 positive reviews and only 1 mixed review, the score won't almost be affected by that mixed review (it can make C2C get 1 or 2 points less)

I agree on Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye, it's a high light on the record.
Lush Life is a nice 2nd tho.

New Yorker magazine is probably going to be reviewing the album soon. They had this tidbit to say in NPR today.

Frere-Jones also points out that Lady Gaga is more than pop spectacle; she can really play piano and sing.

Lady Gagas existence in popular culture should be studied in general, it paints such a portrait of the current state of things involving everything under the music+celebrity industry blanket.

I think most albums released by mainstream artists have a metacritic thread though. It isn't just Gags. I love reading critics, it isn't just because I like her, I actively look out reviews for new/old movies frequently.

I don't understand the point of this reply, no offense. Im not criticizing anyone or implying Gaga is the only pop star put under a microscope at all. I was making a statement about how much shes obviously monitored more than others in terms of reception. Other artists have metacritic threads i'd assume. But i've never seen any of them reach the top of the recently popular thread list and constantly be updated with every positive and negative critique in its title. Gagas like an ant under a microscope in the sun.

Its in regards to the way shes always dissected by people, I think it says a lot about the music and celebrity industries and celebrity worship. Its not entirely positive and its not entirely negative either. Same goes for Beyonce and a few others.

I understand what you're trying to say, and I agree. It really deserves to be studied by experts and scholars, because it's something I am genuinely curious about and, unfortunately, am unable to fully comprehend. For some reason, Lady Gaga really is the standard in just about every aspect of the music business, and the sheer amount of interest (and, even more interestingly, interest in negative reviews) in this thread and the success of her "side project" proves that.
