Chart Notes: There's been a bit of an overhaul this week. I decided that I haven't been listening to enough new music to maintain a chart of 20 songs, so I have decreased the amount of songs here to 15 songs. It's cool. The update was easier so I am happy about that.

A lot of new songs have been added to the chart, some with a better chance of sticking than others of course. But, several of these songs: "No Sleeep," "Cool For The Summer," and Drake's Meek Mill diss "Charged Up" all make a debut this week based off of streaming. The other notable thing, besides the full incorporation of streaming songs is the fact that rock/metal continues to make a comeback. Sufjan Stevens, Ecstatic Vision (more metal than rock), Django Django (ARTROCK), Blur, and Nothing But Thieves all have songs currently charting that look to be sticking around for some time. However, R&B is not completely done with Janet Jackson just debuted a song and Ciara and Tinashe are holding strong. The country and hip-hop songs are all about gone and pop is only represented by Demi Lovato at the moment (something I never thought I would say, I've never been a Demi fan, but "Cool For The Summer" is pretty great).

I have no idea how this chart will turn out, I expect rock to make even more of a comeback, and I think Pyongyang and No Sleeep have the greatest chance of doing the most damage.

As far as the albums go, I think there were some funky play counts going on on my last.fm. I don't think I played those albums that much (except for Mariah). I had to redesign Mariah's album for a Survivor challenge so that's why it's charting here with so many plays (not complaining, I love the album). The Beatles's self-titled album is charting because it's my favorite Beatles album and I took a listen after submitting my ballot for a rate.I guess the albums are split between R&B and rock just like the songs chart. Hopefully next week I can bring back my recurrent chart. I'll see about that.
