This is the overall chart of the songs that I played the most, that I used the most, that were ranked higher in my weekly TPC updates and that I liked the most since 22-April-2012...
Exactly one year ago...
This is not a usual week. ThePlatinumCharts are officially 1 year old and that’s a great chance to remember this whole year and all the #1s that took over the chart.
Katy Perry’s “Part Of Me” became the first single to top ThePlatinumCharts last April (#1 for 2 weeks). Katy Perry also dominated the Chart for 5 weeks with “Wide Awake” and became the first act to have multiple #1 singles ever.
Other acts that topped ThePlatinumCharts with more than one song are: Justin Timberlake (Suit & Tie – 2 weeks | Mirrors – 2 weeks), Rihanna (Where Have You Been – 1 week | Diamonds – 3 weeks), P!nk (Try – 1 week | Just Give Me a Reason – 6 weeks), and also claimed the record for the song with most weeks at #1 (6 weeks), and Taylor Swift (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – 4 weeks | Begin Again – 1 week | State Of Grace – 1 week | I Knew You Were Trouble – 2 weeks | 22 - 1 week) who also has the record for most #1s (4 #1 singles), artist with most weeks at #1 (9 weeks @ #1) and most Top10 entries (7 entries).
“Scream & Shout” by will.i.am and Britney Spears spent 4 weeks at #1 (2 weeks in 2012 and 2 weeks in 2013) and it’s currently the Most-successful song of 2013.
