P!nk gets a 6. She can compete with the biggest in just about every measure of commercial success--albums, singles, tour grosses. But she was never that important.

Now, I love me some Pink. But as a pop star, she sort of just screams basic, doesn't she? The entire first era of her career was like some cheap imitation of... I don't even know, but it didn't work. Since then, she's released an increasingly excellent discography (I think I'm Not Dead and Funhouse are both great pop albums), become a pretty exciting live performer, and had a late-career resurgence in popularity and success—and yet, she always kind of feels like she's just on the verge. I actually give her a lot of respect as an artist, but when she's still being mentioned after Rihanna, Katy Perry and Ke$ha after all these years, then I don't know if she'll ever rise above also-ran status. I'm going to split the difference and give her a 5 for her underrated appeal.

4. I don't care much for her, but I don't have a problem at all seeing why someone would. I've seen concert footage and she spends most her show gliding through the air by the looks of it, so she tries to be exciting. Eh for me, but I'm not horrified by the fact she has stans, I can reason why. The most basic people I'm shocked and horrified by it.

She's extremely talented, but her recent music has been forgettable. Her songwriting is ofter overrated and has become downright terrible recently, and not the self-knowing kind of bad that works for artists like Ke$ha and Gaga.

Still, I think she manages to stand out on her own amongst the rest of the pop stars and for that I'll give her a 5.
