I had such a hard time with this
I could pretty much see where just about everyone was coming from.
Off:
Tinashe - Your essay used a little too many lyrical quotes. I wish I could have gotten more explanation on how you and the song built up a personal relationship.
Alanis Morisette - I really liked your essay and how you explained how relateable the song was, but I felt that you spent too much time trying to convince us about the appeal of the song rather than how it means something specifically to you.
Kimbra - I really had a hard time putting you here. I only did because I could see how you relate to the song, but I didn't see how your life was impacted by the song.
Ariana Grande - Your essay was good, but I almost wanted something a little more specific to help me see where you were coming from.
Save:
Carly Rae Jepsen- I really liked how you told your story and related the concept of the song to your life. When I listened to the song, I could really see where you were coming from.
Little Mix - Your write-up told your story well and let the song do the talking while still being very personal. I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
Ed Sheeran - The way that you wrote your essay, I could tell how you and the song have built up a relationship.
Honorable Mentions:
Maroon 5 - I really could see how, through your interpretation of the song, it is meaningful to you.
Avril - Great write-up. I'm sorry for your loss, and it really got to me how you went on to accomplish the goals you and your friend had.
Shakira - You definitely had a special moment with Shakira. I could see how much she means to you and why Dare is meaningful to you. One day, I hope to meet Shakira also. She seems so cool!
