I love that movie, I really don't understand why the critics were so harsh about it. Sure, the story is nothing new at all but Hilary showed she could easily handle dramatic material, I may watch some of that movie before I go to bed but now it's all I can think about.

I remember going to the cinema to watch "A Cinderella Story" and during the previews a little teaser for "Raise Your Voice" was shown. I almost died!

I cried! Where were all the people that went to see ACS for RYV though?

I think the main issue, besides promotion for RYV was that it was released so close to her self-titled album.

Parents were most likely like "Y'all gotta choose one or the other."

That is so true Luckily I was able to do both. RYV is such an inspiring teen movie.

I hardly remember her doing any promotion for Raise Your Voice. I think she did Ellen, Conan, and TRL, I am lazy so I won't look it up.

Yeah and it was all promo for both the projects. They honestly should have waited till January or February 2005, when she could have promoted it seperately and built up hype for "Hilary Duff's second headlining film.

I say it would have made at least $30 million with proper promo and hype and a $10 million opening.
