I mean the song is cute, but why did she have to ruin peoples birthday parties
Hey, they knew what they were getting into. The people involved with the parties hired the characters that Katy played during the MV to "ruin" their Birthday parties for a new comedy TV show called Birthday Blowout. Well, that's what they thought. Obviously no such show exists, and it was just for Katy's MV. But all the same, the people knew what they were getting into.
This is a true statement.
She did herself no favors because if you are going to be funny then it needs to be really funny. This was funny to some and not even remotely funny to others which makes me uncomfortable.
I loved it! I bet this will go viral and get talked about. God her and her team are smart.
