From experience as a gay in the Netherlands, one of the most "liberal" and "tolerant" countries in the world, the only people who have ever had a problem with me and my gay friend's sexuality were from the area in question.
It ain't cute to receive threats, slurs, discriminatory remarks to my face while buying a kebab or simply walking on the street. And not just gays, my girl friend literally got jumped in public by a gang of Moroccans. The respect they show for our modern values is not the flavor of tea I'm after.
I welcome these refugees with open arms, as long as they adapt to our liberal way of thinking. Otherwise, bye Felicia, we will not be serving you here.
