From experience as a gay in the Netherlands, one of the most "liberal" and "tolerant" countries in the world, the only people who have ever had a problem with me and my gay friend's sexuality were from the area in question.
It ain't cute to receive threats, slurs, discriminatory remarks to my face while buying a kebab or simply walking on the street. And not just gays, my girl friend literally got jumped in public by a gang of Moroccans. The respect they show for our modern values is not the flavor of tea I'm after.
I welcome these refugees with open arms, as long as they adapt to our liberal way of thinking. Otherwise, bye Felicia, we will not be serving you here.
At least these people aren't looking to commit atrocious acts of mass genocide and environmental exploitation like your people did (and to an extent still do) when they "illegally" colonized 3/4 of the world.
