I have also heard that Max Martin also charges $100k a song. That is probably to write a song though, like for Britney. He is in such demand that everyone wants him to write for them, so you need to book his time. I have heard he has a net worth of $200 million. I don't know how much he would get for being an exec producer though.

I am sure he loves working with Taylor for several reasons.
a) She is a delight to be around, everyone seems to say this.
b) She is a great songwriter. She comes with the concept, the melody and the lyrics, as shown in the Voice Memos.
c) She works really hard and is a really fast songwriter.
d) Her albums smash so hard. He gets mechanical royalties for every track he has writing credits on for every single album sold. Getting a single song on one of her albums is a virtual guarantee of a massive cheque.
e) Her singles with him smash. WANEGOD, IKYWT, 22, SIO, BS. He gets royalties every time her songs get played on the radio. They get played a lot. All over the world.
f) Taylor wins Grammy's. WANEGOD got Grammy's noms. Red did too. Max probably knows that working with Taylor massively increases his chances of winning Grammy's. That is something he lacks so far. SIO has 3 noms so far, and 1989 will likely pick up some too.

1989 will probably end up being his most profitable album for a decade and could end up his most acclaimed.

I was/am repeatedly listening to STYLE today. I think it's a WIN-WIN for both Taylor and MM on STYLE collaboration

Edit: Both lyrics and melody of STYLE are stronger than SHAKE IT OFF (which is not among my top 5) for sure, but SIO has stronger chance for the COMMERCIAL success for sure. This is always a interesting topic.

Edit2: I think for me, BLANK SPACE is between SIO and STYLE, I hope/think it will become bigger than SIO.

While I want (need) Wildest Dreams to be a single, there is no other option than to have Style next. One of my friends (who legit hates Taylor and makes fun of her to piss me off ) admitted to me that she loved Style when I was playing 1989 in the background. So Taylor had recorded a lot of 1989 just immediately before or after the last Grammy's show. I Know Places was before. Style, SIO and Clean was after.

Taylor presumably wrote Welcome to New York after she moved there. So that was March 2014. So she worked with Ryan Tedder on two different occasions.

Anyone know what was the first song she wrote for 1989? Was it All You Had to Do Was Stay?

I don't have any source, but I just feel that, MUSICALLY, THIS LOVE might be the first song Taylor wrote for 1989, maybe I'm wrong?
