People were truly fooled if they believed he would be the "anti establishment" the fact that he's a rich guy from NYC who hasn't paid taxes in decades speaks to how part of the establishment he really is.

Well Obama won the popular vote so the result wasn't as controversial.

Plus we all know that this election was a much more divisive, higher stakes election so either side was going to have a boil-over with the loss.

George Bush was able to heal the divide though hence his astronomical approval ratings for his first term. Poor Trump he'll have to work with a country that despises him and didn't vote for him. And he's not a good guy like Bush either so he won't be healing any divide.

THE MEDIA AND GP focused on Trump being a sore loser pointing the fingers and trump supporters were going to riot and then lo and behold

The idea is that if you are planning to make fun of and look down on what you expect the other side to do...then do it too what is the point?
People make excuses for bad behavior all the time...it still doesn't change the actions
