Madonna's tactics were so desperate but she might still have outsold Janet's final numbers and she released in a competitive week where Janet isn't.

I really liked the album too, it's her second best, very consistent and little to no disappointments other than High By The Beach. Ultraviolence had stronger highs but more lows - I'd still place that over this though due to how strong and powerful some of the songs are.
