Just like any other Holiday nobody cares or is celebrating the actual sentiment behind it. They're just happy there's a party and no work/school.

I don't think any black person, or anyone period cares about the history of America and studies it on 4th of July. People just wanna chill and BBQ.

I was this close to being light skinned my dad is light and my twin sis is light too but I came out dark as hell. I did age well though people still think I'm a teenager. I like me my color too. I would never bleach it makes you look gray and ashy.

My cousins brought guns and randomly shot them for fun one time when fireworks were launching. They lucky there wasn't kids around cause then I'd had been LIVID.
