Just watched RIR. The way she kept giggling during her songs made me feel like she wasn't super prepared. But you can definitely tell which songs she still loves, so I hope she revamps her set list for her next tour.

Forgot About Dre/Pour(t) It Up and her April O'Neil outfit remain flawless. But not her paying American Oxygen dust. She must really be over it.

My opinion likely doesn't matter, but if she's putting in this much effort for her next shows, I'll probably skip it, and that pains me as a huge Rihanna fan to say (especially since it's been since LGOE Tour and I got f***ed over on her Loud Tour). I don't want to compare, but when you see the amount of effort Beyoncé does for her shows (even the transitions, which RIR did a good job with), I just don't think it'd be worth such a huge price tag.

Still gonna buy R8, like I have been with all the singles, including Home.

the difference between her and bey is (I can say this as I've seen them both live)

Bey is a perfectionist, and she wants to make sure EVERYTHING is perfect. She's an artist who loves detail, who's loves transitions, new arrangements, hard choreography, mixes elements of other songs into her own etc..

Rih is a person when you see them live it's like one massive party, she loves to interact with the crowd and make them sing along (which is why idk why you hate her saying 'sing' and holding the mic to the audience occasionally, because it really does make the crowd louder). She's not about hard choreo or perfect vocals.

If you see Rih in concert you are guaranteed to hear good vocals, loads of hits and have a party.
If you see Bey in concert prepared for everything to be perfect.

And that's why I love them both separately. For this next part I'm not saying Rih is coping Bey or anything before y'all start.

But something Bey does is interact with the crowd, and she'll change the arrangement of the song (see the hey-hey part in SL, see 7/11, see Irreplaceable, see XO etc) and Rih did that this time round when she stopped Cake and the instrumental stopped and they sang that line, also with the 'Rio' part in Man Down.

I truely believe that Rih wants to go down that route she's just not comfortable yet, but let her do her thang for now and if she wants to perform with amazing choreo, and mix songs into hers. That's fine, but if you wanna see that check out Bey's Made In America set.
