Here's the thing, Lady Gaga is on a 360 deal, Katy Perry is not
=> Gaga's dates will always be reported sold out even if they weren't ( and there's evidence for that in her boxoffice thread by her stans) whereas Katy's shows will always be reported correctly as not sold out, cause in fact 80% of the concerts are not sold out anywhere you go in the world
it just looks better if they say that a show was 100% sold out, even though there were a couple of seats still available
a friend of mine works in the biggest arena here in Budapest and he told me he hasn't seen a single sold out show in the past 3 years. There are ALWAYS some tickets left.
I went to Gaga's monster ball when she was here. The date was reported sold out, but I swear there were easily 100 seats still available.I'm not saying there is no such thing as a sold out show, I'm just saying the concept of a sold out show is meaningless. Cause they can easily readjust the seats and the availability of tickets anytime they please.
Sometimes a third party company buys the tickets but fails to sell all of them.
Hence the sold out show with empty tickets.
Out of all these concerts in Amsterdam only Ed SHeeran () and Stromae (both dates ) are sold out
I sing and write my own tune
And I write my own verse hell
Don't need another wordsmith to make my tunes sell
Call yourself a singer-writer
You’re just bluffing
Your name’s on the credits
And you didn’t write nothing
