That's simply ridiculous though. "Generic" isn't really a subjective term. To say something is generic is to say that it's easy, routine, similar to all other pop music. And I haven't heard a G.U.Y. or a Mary Jane Holland on the radio ever. Dull is fair enough and you can think what you want of the songs but to say they objectively lack "quality" seems pretty crazy to me judging from how much work went into them and how meticulous the textures of every production are.

I'd say something like RuPaul's cheap & quick dance pop songs could be considered low quality bops. Certainly not ARTPOP.
