E.T. was overshadowed by Firework, Last Friday Night, Wide Awake, California Gurls and even Part Of Me. Even TOTGA has more combined Spotify streams than E.T's combined streams.
Let us not forget DH sold 6mil+ to E.T.'s 5.8mil despite being in a digital sales decline AND is certified Diamond whilst E.T. is only 8x Plat.

I don't care about stats/charts when I rate timelessness, which is why I think Birthday is Katy's best song ever.
You always take into account TIHWD's streams when you stan for it though
I mean just listen to Dark Horse and E.T.
E.T. still goes HARD and it's production is still fresh and relevant. It's perfectly crafted, simple, and effective with its concept.
Dark Horse's witchy sounds already sound dated. Plus people can only take that "drop" for so long.

The song still made me a stan though.
