Yeah, I've never scrobbled with '& the Scene' outside of Spotify.
Does anyone know what they were actually used for? Did they help write songs, etc.? They clearly didn't play on any songs (it's all synths) & I've never seen them outside of random booklet pictures where they were always minimized/shoved to the side. Selena was definitely ashamed/scared of them.

They were pretty much just her backing band when she performed.
Joey wrote a couple of songs, I think.

Selena started off wanting to be in a band, she didn't wanna be solo. She wanted it to be called just The Scene but Hollywood Records wouldn't let her, so she settled for Selena Gomez & The Scene. I think the members of the band co wrote some of the songs, and whenever Naturally became a hit it pretty much all changed I guess. She was learning piano and electric guitar. It makes me wonder And idk I think they did back up vocals on a few songs. I guess Hollywood Records made it more about her than The Scene. Which I never cared for them anyways Glad she's ''solo'' now

When Selena revealed this would be a solo album, I dropped '& The Scene' from all of her songs on my iTunes. I can see how they were relevant for K&T because it had a lot of guitars and drums, but after "Naturally" took off she went a very dance route so her band wasn't really needed anymore Luckily I just got a Last.fm account maybe a week ago, so all my scrobbles are under Selena Gomez with no The Scene in sight
