If Bernie had enough time in a general election cycle, he definitely would have put out a larger effort to reach minority voters in a way that he didn't during the primaries. Would have it been effective? Who knows tbh.
I also don't think minority turnout was a huge problem for Hillary this election. Latino turnout was up, black vote was down, and not by that much. I mean, she lost North Carolina but a lot of it was due to the voter ID issues, right?
A lot of these scenarios are just what-ifs and we really don't know for sure if he would have won or not. we have to look forward to see what we as a party can do to engage more younger and minority voters while bringing the working class coalition back into the party by 2020.
Also, these rust belters should realize their bigger enemy is automation, not immigrants, and that they'll have to adjust instead of sitting around on their asses hoping their jobs return. So sad to think about how Hillary may have won in all these states if she had simply visited the rustbelt on the last few weeks, let them know that Trump's plan to bring their jobs back was a sham and spread the ideas she had to help them adjust and go into different fields of work.
