But can someone tell me why are M!Countdown stages so basic compared to Inkigayo, Music Bank & Core?

Like those 3 always have awesome detailed stages that I wish western pop would copy, but M!Countdown is so basic compared to them. The only good stages I've seen recently on there were f(x) Red Light comeback and EXO - Overdose. TTS' Holler stage and SNSD The Boys comeback stages were good, but in general, their stages are more basic than the other shows.

Does it depend on the agency whether the performance gets a custom stage or the show PD?

Mnet is a cable tv station, so they're obviously not as wealthy as national broadcast stations like MBC, KBS or SBS

It's just my speculation tho

I think I'm preferring S.E.S's version of Be Natural which is weird for me. I like that it's longer because the good parts only occur like once in Red Velvet's whereas they're twice in S.E.S's.
I think it's the chorus but I haven't heard it enough to be sure.

I will continue to stan for SM's ARTISTS no matter how shady the actual company is. They deliver everything I need in their groups that other companies don't.

Not to say that I don't like groups from other companies cause obviously I stan for 4Minute & After School too, but a majority of their other artists are basic.

Given that stance, SM really does need to make some changes though.
