I am scared of reason 2 though... its no secret that Def Jam don't really focus on the promotion side of things... lets hope that they can handle an EP.

Aww thanks dear. Rihanna was my original fave and still is one of my favorite artists. Her accomplishments are undeniable.
And I think that if Def Jam and her producers worked together to produce a cohesive image for the EP and really worked at promoting it as a separate entity as well as promoting it on TV shows, it could do well.
