Katy has a dark and almost velvety tone on her songs, and she's way more captivating on record than Taylor has ever been.

In the US (which is the country that the Superbowl targets, so plz leave WW receipts out of this), everybody knows YBWM and LS. They are Taylor staples, and Taylor has proven over the past 3 tours that they are versatile enough to be reworked in many ways. She also has IKYWT, WANEGBT, 22 (which is surprisingly more remembered than WANEGBT despite its floppage), SIO, BS, Style, along with her country catalog which includes Our Song and Mean (America loves them, and remembered that Superbowl has invited country artists who don't have "bops" to perform before). She'd do fine.

Taylor has the gerls lobotomized just like Beyoncé after her latest publicity gimmick. Her music is bland and very far from amazing, that Romeo and Juliet song she had back then is nothing but horrible. And that trap mix she had with IKWWT? And that song We are Never Ever Getting Back Together? awful!
The one that Got Away is an awesome Katy sing.

I've never been able to finish a Tity album, she's as vanilla cookie cutter pop as you can get, definitely not 'captivating'.
I can't stan for looks either because she dresses like trash 99.9% of the time and her visuals are **** too. She's ignorant, racist, transphobic and generally a terrible human being.

Ugh just literally useless, I can't help but feel sorry for her stans for having such terrible taste.

I think it's down to personal taste. I'm not Katy's biggest fan but her pop songs are perfect. Taylor just bores me STIFF. Her songs don't really appeal to me. I've never understood why people liked her.

Katy isn't much of an album artist I agree but her pop songs have been HUGE staples, and for the most part it's actually deserved. With the exception of Firework, and CG all the singles from TD slayed.

Hell except for Uncle and Roar Prism delivered good singles also.

Her debut had great choices also, she's simple fun, and she has a little bit of spark to her. Taylor is just your nerdy average girl next door singing MOR Pop Songs with Country Influence theres nothing captivating about that either.
