Are you ATRL friends with the person who posted on your wall? If so, you probably have it set so that only friends can post there. Look at this page and check the second dropdown menu.

Them? Did you click both of the boxes under Visitor Messaging in your Preferences? (not Profile Privacy) You should only have the first one checked, the other one will prevent anyone that isn't your friend from seeing your wall.
