What i think of the fight is that nicki wanted the contestant to go through, but mariah didn't. thus why she said "you're picking her apart" and this also explains why no contestant was there when she walked off.
I love that just 2 episodes in, Nicki's has already changed a lot of minds and gained a lot of fans. Idol seriously couldn't have came at a better time

It just gets old to hate on her...the GP I mean.
It was easy to hate on her in 2012 but she still continue to win BET, VMA, AMA awards and brand herself...it simply isn't nearly as fun for the GP to hate on her as much. This could have turned around by November had the Mariah Carey AI never occurred.
