Is Trump really asking this? Has he not noticed that he was elected as POTUS and that's a full time job & they need his presence 24/7 in Washington for the most part?
this is gonna be like when Bush disappeared during the month before 9/11
Quote:
In an otherwise dry day of hearings before the 9/11 commission, one brief bit of dialogue set off a sudden flash of clarity on the basic question of how our government let disaster happen.
The revelation came this morning, when CIA Director George Tenet was on the stand. Timothy Roemer, a former Democratic congressman, asked him when he first found out about the report from the FBI's Minnesota field office that Zacarias Moussaoui, an Islamic jihadist, had been taking lessons on how to fly a 747. Tenet replied that he was briefed about the case on Aug. 23 or 24, 2001.
Roemer then asked Tenet if he mentioned Moussaoui to President Bush at one of their frequent morning briefings. Tenet replied, "I was not in briefings at this time." Bush, he noted, "was on vacation." He added that he didn't see the president at all in August 2001. During the entire month, Bush was at his ranch in Texas. "You never talked with him?" Roemer asked. "No," Tenet replied. By the way, for much of August, Tenet too was, as he put it, "on leave."
I thought I would slowly get over the election results but it's been three days and I'm still shocked and disappointed. Yet, it helped me realize more than ever that I should be more involved in politics. I had planned to major in political science but then had second thoughts, but now I'm motivated more than ever to do well in that major. I plan con canvassing in the future and rallying people to hopefully flip the Senate in 2018.
Plus there's the election in 2020 that could be the major turning point for all this mess. Since it's a census year it will be extremely important for the Democrats to do well since Congress will have to redraw the districts that year

Honestly, pretty disappointed. I voted early on last month and even had friends and family turn out for Hillary but... yeah. I'm just hoping that my terminally ill parents' SS income doesn't get slashed by this Republican administration because that would just kill me. Otherwise, it's made me more determine to start paying attention to downballots and politics in general now.
**** is going to hit the fan when he's under real pressure, like what is the TV Host going to do when a terrorist attack strikes the US again? Is he going to bomb whomever he thinks it was?
Like, I know he's a coward & an act but all the people he's surrounding himself with are very scary.

We need all the help we can get tbh. These next years are going to get messy. I'm glad you're motivated.

Trump would be like, "Paul and Mike, make any whatever decision for me. I am flying back to my tower to sleep!!!"

Round us up and take us to the camps? Nuke Syria? It ain't like his administration has much intellect involved.

This. And like I'm just imagining him trying to reassure and calm the nation.
I'm arriving at a place where I blame Debbie Wasserman Shultz more than any other person. Never did I think I'd be agreeing with Bernie Bros but Trump is in the White House so stranger things have happened. She and the rest of the DNC more or less rigged the primaries for Hillary in hope of acquiring cabinet positions and turned off anti-establishment voters that Trump was able to grab from across the aisle. Not saying Bernie would have ultimately won over him, but the distrust after the email leaks was very widely felt and it lead people to want to reject the Democratic ticket.
Why do people have goldfish memories regarding Wiileaks, Russia, the FBI, and the media false equivalence with the e-mails?
Comey's letter is what did her in. It instantly turned off many voters who were just tuning in to the election. Then his letter that cleared her ended up encouraging more of Trump's supporters to show up to stick it to Hillary.
Enough. Debbie was to blame for many issues, but so was Sanders and the bitter primary that he kept up "for the sake of the people". Yeah well the people just got rekt.
I mean I don't blame him. It's clear that even he thought Hillary would have beat Trump so he overplayed his hand by wanting to empower his movement at the cost of putting down Hillary a bit.
It was also the polling. She planned her events based on the polls like any candidate would, and she ended up going to Arizona and Georgia and wasting her time. By the time Comey's letter came out, they realized she was in trouble in the dust belt and tried to fix it but it was too late by then.
The pollsters failed her.
She also messed up a bit here and there. That deplorables comment was unnecessary (she was already under scrutiny for anything). She didn't call out Trump more. Her #ImWithHer slogan reminded people that she's a woman. etc..
So no it wasn't just Debbie. It was many things, and nobody's fault specifically.
**** if she had won we wouldn't even be discussing this now. It's normal to dissect the one who fails and be overly critical. Trump ****ed up far more but was rewarded for it apparently.
With Arizona, Iowa, Nebraska 2nd district, Ohio, Maine, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia Trump only gets to 267. He needs 270 to win.

I think there are many factors to why Hillary lost, but I think the biggest factor are the Bernie Bros who voted for a third party or didn't vote at all.
I mean, in Michigan, Trump was only ahead of Hillary by 12K votes, while Jill Stein had 50K votes overall. It's evident more than ever that every vote matters. Had so many people not voted for third parties, Hillary could have won this.
I appreciate Bernie for supporting her after the primaries, but he did way too manage damage to her campaign.

Why do Dems assume 3rd party voters and non-voters were simply protesting and holding out on Hillary?
I've already stated before that Hillary would've never gotten the majority of Johnson's votes. Libertarians aren't liberals.
