Agreed. In general, they need to be more memorable and distinctive.
I don't think plot is very important.. but she definitely needs more going on.. I like Blow, Your Love Is My Drug and Take It Off.. so hopefully she does something like that or better this era!
Kemosabe is a branch of RCA, so RCA makes the final decisions in the end.
nope..
Quote:
sources say that Sony is paying $60 million dollars to Dr. Luke to start a new label and produce music exclusively for the company. The latter ingredient comes after the lesson learnt from the costly mistake of naming Rick Rubin as co-chairman of Columbia Records nearly five years ago only to see him produce more hits for other labels than he did for Sony.
While the Times story suggests that the new label, Kemosabe Records, could be of the same stature as Columbia, RCA and Epic Records, it more likely will grow organically.

Take it off would of looked better with a much higher budget, but the idea was good
RCA don't particularly have the best reputation when it comes down to the way they manage their artists. Arguably, Ke$ha is their biggest artist though, so they really should save the biggest budget for her. Christina Aguilera and Chris Brown are the two other major artists on that label, so they are the only two I worry that will detract from Ke$ha, but Christina is kind of a "has-been", so it shouldn't be too much of a worry.

Christina IS a has-been, she is better of as just a celebrity rather than an artist, and its not like a labelling coming can only push one artist at a time, also they have Kelly Clarkson and Avril (but i don't think she will be HUGE again)
TiK ToK's music video (from what I remember of it) was so basic and forgettable.
tbh i quite like it as a debut music video its cute and it introduced her to the public perfectly, i prefer that over some cheap inside-studio type debut video

Avril left RCA and got signed to Epic from L.A. Reid, because RCA didn't handle "Goodbye Lullaby" very well. Kelly's album was released last year, so that's kind of all done and dusted. The only other person still in the game is Chris Brown. He has a new album coming out soon, and his music videos are quite big budget.. I want RCA to give Ke$ha that same treatment. Her music videos need to be stronger.
