Actually, I did a report on this once and the only people that use media violence to bad effect are those who are predisposed to this kind of think mentally.

to be shown a greater level of importance and recognition in society. Some of their accomplishments remain oppressed and disregarded.
But, when all of the popular representations of them are constantly and prominently pushing sex, body, and partying as their main source of happiness and 'power', then women are going to have harder times differentiating where their worth and self comes from.
