First off, MADONNA is the reason popstars are viewed as talentless bimbos, not Britney.
Second, aside from the fact that there were literally decades of women who sung whatever pop fluff they were told to before Britney (including Celine and Whitney, not that they were talentless) , you had jlo running around with songs that she didn't even fully sing years before Britney (who ruined her voice anyway). You had Christina running around in Chola makeup and streetwalker attire. You had Jessica Simpson not knowing the difference between chicken and tuna. Britney may have done her fair share of damage, but to place the blame solely on her is ridiculous.
Well Madonna was more or less an exception to vocally talented pop artists (she has never been terrible though), but Britney is the poster child for talentless musicians. She did have impact in a negative sense.
