I don't think that it was getting out of hand though. I mean, they were arguing/debating passionately, but what's wrong with arguing passionately when its an issue that both sides are clearly passionate?
Their respective responses were well-written. The worst thing in there was that someone used the word "disgusting" and that user quickly defended their use of that word by saying that murder is disgusting. No matter what side of the argument you're on, we can all agree that people killing other people is in fact disgusting.
Oh well. Even in the 5 minutes that each Israel/Palestine thread is open, I'm learning a lot
People should be able to debate real world topics here. I understand it might get a bit out of hand, but serious topics and serious debates often do. It's better than daily "who is more iconic?" threads.
