It's pretty simple; when you log-in you'll be sent right to the lobby. You can choose if you want to do Ranked, Training or Sandbox in the tabs near the top. Playing ranked will affect your score and could result in you getting warned/banned if you don't play properly, so I don't suggest going there, I never do. Training is the same as ranked except without any penalties for losing/quitting/playing poorly. Sandbox is the ***** and giggles place. They don't take it seriously at all and the roles are completely random and there is a much bigger selection.
When you join a game from the lobby, you'll be given a role. You can tell what your role is by the little picture beside your username and finding it at
https://epicmafia.com/role. The point of the game is to find and kill the mafia, unless you are the mafia, than you want to not get caught. During the day you'll discuss with everyone in the town about who you suspect to be a part of the mafia. Of course, you'll get clues and what not at night.
After a few games you'll have a firm grasp on how things work. It really is pretty simple.
