But if there wasn't a Taylor Swift video in the VOTY category, it'd definitely be the true definition of a snub (and it's not because she's white, it's because all her videos this era have been huge and well received). Taylor will probably sweep the AMAs too since she always does well with those fan-voted popularity contests, but aside from Best Pop Vocal Album, she doesn't deserve any other Grammy Award for 1989. She'll probably win Music Video if nominated.

Wasn't the video released the same week as the VMAs as well ? I mean...the video and cover had impact for the moment. The other noms are still fresh.

But it's obvious Bad Blood was given the VOTY nomination over Blank Space because it's newer, was semi-good, and had some impact. Meanwhile Anaconda had impact but it was very negatively received.
