Treacherous and IKYWT are about Mayer??? really? i dont see it. the way she wrote abouot it in Dear John, i cant see her writing Treacherous NOW about the feeling she had then!!

It is about as trustworthy as any other tabloid . They get it right and wrong. Taylor is not going to confirm anyway. The problem I have with this though is why a friend of Taylor's would be talking to a gossip magazine? That is not cool unless they are lying about the friendship or Taylor gave them permission. I tend to believe they broke up because they had too much working against them remaining a couple for long term. I am also sure Taylor was not amused or pleased with the tabloid gossip on her relationship.

Taylor and US Weekly have some sort of weird deal together = like her people call them up.

Honestly she looked kind of down in some of her appearances this week, especially the GMA concert and then someone said she wrote a new song this weekend I immediately thought she and Conor probably broke up. It's probably for the best if it's true. She needs someone she doesn't need to get a permission slip to visit.

Edit: I just read that. US Weekly has it's moments and isn't always trustworthy, but for some reason they're the first place Taylor's "friends" run. They broke the Jake romance and breakup. lol. Anyways it seems believable, I don't think anyone really expected them to last past homecoming anyways?

Publicists drop news like this in the tabloids all the time. The "friend" part is just a gentle way of giving the source credibility without making it offically come from Taylor's camp. It's a really common practice. They can't drop a press release about it so someone from the PR team calls up a tabloid and tells them and it's "a source close to the star" or "a friend of _____"

Sometimes they're really suspicious and you can tell it's the tabloid pulling things out of their asses.

On a side note US Weekly reported that Jake was going to be at Taylor's birthday party/was at the party and then later her team released a story saying she had a lowkey party with her family and friends (and it was clear Jake was not there) and everyone thought that US Weekly was just making that stuff up about Jake being there. Clearly he was supposed to be there though.
