The media have made much ado about the absence of a real Trump organization on the ground in the states, but has largely failed to interrogate the hype around the Clinton campaign’s ground operations. As the post-election day hangover wears off, an examination of the mechanics behind the Clinton’s get out the vote efforts ― reaching out to Clinton voters in key states at the door, on the phone or by text messages ― reveals evidence of what appears to be a pretty shocking truth. Clinton volunteers were inadvertently turning out Trump voters. Possibly in significant numbers.

Volunteers for the Clinton campaign in Pennsylvania, Ohio and North Carolina have reported that when reminding people to vote, they encountered a significant number of Trump voters. Anecdotal evidence points to anywhere from five to 25 percent of contacts were inadvertently targeted to Trump supporters.

The campaign’s text messaging GOTV effort may have been the worst offender. Volunteers reported as many as 30% of the replies they received from voters they were urging to get out were Trump supporters.

If this were Mitt Romney, John McCain, or George Bush I could understand the cautious optimism. But it's like people have forgotten how totally incapable this man is even if you ignore the fact he's a monster of a human.

The irony is that Sanders became the most powerful Democrat after the elections.

Too bad the whole house, senate and the oval office is occupied by Republicans.

Though, I think Sanders is a friend (unlike Clinton ) to some higher Republicans so he can push some legislations that aren´t that extreme.

I think the best option for 2020 Dems would be Joe Biden. They need someone who can take away voters from Donald Trump, and let's face it, no woman, minority, or young entitled white guy is going to do that. Joe is literally the only Dem that can appeal to the Trump voters imo

Clinton would have won if she maintained Obama's figures in 2012, even with the surging of white votes for Trump.

Michigan was lost by 11k votes, while Wayne County alone (aka Detroit) saw a 80k drop in Dem votes vs 2012. Wisconsin was lost by 27k votes while Milwaukee County saw a 40k drop in Dem votes vs 2012. She took a hit in urban areas with urban Dems that made his gains in rural areas with rural whites the deal breaker.

Shut up with your incessant idiotic posts already. Why do you think the entire crime bill was passed? Because all of them believed in there being super predators out there. Mayor De Blasio should run in 2020. I think he would be great but I don't know if he has enough experience.

I hope Hillary is at peace, gets some much needed rest..spends a lot of time with her grand babies and watch them grow.

Hopefully she writes a book about her campaign run experience or maybe release a documentary of all the behind the scenes footage etc; and continues doing great things around the world with her foundation.
