The point is Gags is trying to be the next Bette Midler, Frih is too lazy, and Taylor can easily be knocked off by Katy with the points you made.
The runway is clear for KP4 to start building a legacy, and to cement her status with the A-Listers of this generation. She really needs an era bigger than PRISM/OOTB though so she has to reinvent everything.

In a weird way, I think Pink and Ariana are her biggest competitors. The way Ariana just randomly blew up during Katys break >> Katy has similar style to the both of them. Max Martin and Cirkut are carbon copy Dr. Luke. They all have the same sound. I guess she can still work with them. I loved her song with Timbaland from back in the day. For a twist, I would love just one urban-pop song with him on her album. She also can record some of the Rihanna smashes Stargate has in the vault, and work with Sia also. More important than the dance, will be a really strong memorable ballad for her. She is over 30, thinking strategically she should want the Adult Contemporary crowd in her corner & introducing her acoustic vocals in a new way and doing a new sound with a good song would definitely surprise. She needs her Stay. By the Grace of God fell flat.

She is already huge on AC and HAC radio, but yes, she needs a signature memorable ballad in the next album. That's one of the few things she still lacks but if she does it correctly could win her Grammys and acclaim. She has it in her I think.

Erm.

All of her peers are primarily known for their music but all of them, Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley etc.are also huge news makers. And Katy isn't. That;s of course due to the fact that her personal life is boring and she herself isn't very interesting either, so no one pays much attention to her.

She's just not a big celebrity. She's just a famous singer.
