Maybe you're be able to release an album and then contract an assistant? That way they would only take care of promoting the album.
Well in the beta, there are no settings or controls for the assistant. Once you hire them and choose a band for them to control, they'll record albums and book promo. There's no option to just do media even if you record an album yourself.

Well Antuan could have updated it since the beta or can in the future, however, I still find the feature useful as it is. You may have an interest in said act, however you might have 4 other people you're controlling yourself and finding it hard to juggle all of them.

Started a new game with a K-Pop artist, Cassidy, so far she's released 3 buzz singles, an EP and done a mini-Asia tour. She's up to 34% reputation in Asia and her debut single is about to drop. Her buzz singles all went platinum with no physical shipments or any promotion whatsoever so this is gonna smash.
I'm pressed about Hatred and Violence though. It was a lead single but it debuted at #2 and then dropped to like #70 in its second week and never recovered. It barely even scanned gold
She's only 5 albums in too so a 2.5 million average per album is really good, especially considering Mountains is only 5 weeks in its chart run and should sell 3.5-4 million in the long run
