CHRISTINA AGUILERA PREMIERES DEFINING “YOUR BODY” VIDEO, BECOMES NEW QUEEN OF POP
Is your body ready for “Your Body”? That’s a serious question. If your feeble frame is too weak to handle being mercilessly slayed by the almightyQueentina, then I suggest you **** off and go Google Rita Ora. However, if your fabulous figure is unbreakable like a lotus flower, then you may proceed and witness the magnificence that is the “Your Body” music video below.
In the Melina Matsoukas-directed masterpiece, Aggie plays a trailer park **** with a bionic booty and a penchant for violence. Like a black widow spider, only prettier, our unlikely heroine ****s and kills her way through a number of hunky horndogs who get a little more than they bargained for after unlocking Aggie’s box.
Honey boo boo child, I am telling you right now, Christina Aguilera serves up “Dirrty” in this video, she serves up “Come On Over Baby”, and she serves up Haifa Wehbe neon caravan glam.
There’s even a little social commentary in the video too, as “Your Body” serves as both a harsh warning on the dangers of having casual sex, and a look into the future at how Xtina is going to KILL YOUR ****ING FAVE DEAD YOU PIECE OF ****!!!!
Now get down on your pathetic knees and worship at the altar of Aguilera below.
Aguilera takes her bad-girl image to delightfully dangerous new heights
Based on early sneak peeks, we were pretty certain Christina Aguilerawas going to revisit her previous bad-girl roles in the brand-new "Your Body" video ... but, wow, we definitely weren't expecting this.
In the clip, Christina plays a candy-colored killer, one who delights in wooing well-physiqued men to their demise. She hitches a ride with one guy, seduces him, then sets his car ablaze (in electric-pink flames, nonetheless). Next, she hits a dive bar, shoots some stick, and lures her next victim into a bathroom stall, where she bludgeons him to death, leaving spatters of blue paint dripping from the walls. And finally, in one of the video's most striking scenes (literally), she uses a bat to bash a dude's brain in, showering the room in a mist of red confetti.
Of course, there's not actual violence shown; instead, director Melina Matsoukas — who's done equally eye-catching clips for the likes of Lady Gaga and Rihanna — fills "Your Body" with brightly-colored, almost surreal gore. In that regard, the video is reminiscent of Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers," which, while plenty brutal, felt more like a cartoon ... you couldn't believe the carnage because it gushed forth in such hypnagogic hues.
There is also no shortage of junk-culture nods, like the old NES Advantage controller Aguilera jams on, the odd (and, one can assume, coffer-filling) cameos by psychic site Oranum.com, sugar-coated cereals, and trashy day-time television, to say nothing of Christina's wardrobe, loaded with leopard prints and Day-Glo accoutrements and very trailer chic.
And while Aguilera has certainly worn all manner of eye-catching get-ups in the past, here her costumes aren't meant to be standalone shock pieces; they all play into the larger feel of the video itself, which, sure, is grisly and garish, but also incredibly clever and visually arresting. It tweaks societal standards, plays to our baser instincts, and burns brightly across the brain. Once again, Xtina proves she's really good at being bad, but she's never done it with tongue so firmly planted in cheek (I love the "No Men Were Harmed in the Making of this Video" warning at the beginning). Subtlety isn't her strong suit, and so long as she keeps churning out videos as good as this one, we're willing to accept that about her. Then again, judging by the amount of bodies she leaves in her wake, it's not like we'd be willing to tell her otherwise.
Christina Aguilera's Sexy 'Your Body' Music Video Makes for a 'Killer' Comeback
Coming off the pop-tastic summer of "Call Me Maybe" has been a bit painful. It feels like there's been a serious lack of hot pop music on the radio this month -- with the exception of one saving grace: Christina Aguilera's new single "Your Body." It's everything you could imagine a comeback single from a reigning pop diva sounding like. A total earworm.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any better ... the music video premieredtoday! Xtina's been teasing the vid forweeks now, and photos of her shooting it, wearing super-skimpy, hooker-rific outfits, made the rounds last month. Judging from those images alone, it seemed like The Voice coach might be really trying way too hard to appear relevant again. But now that I've seen the video, we can safely conclude there was a method to the mesh madness! And it's KILLER!
Check it out ...
Amaaaaaaaazing!!! How abso-freakin'-lutely banging does she look playing this "disturbed freak" chick who's out to axe all these sexxxxy men? And besides how hot she looks, the whole vibe of the video is off-the-wall, cinematic eye candy. The pink explosion, the sparkly pumps, the fuchsia glitter! So much fun!
More from The Stir: Christina Aguilera's New Single Makes Us Say 'Britney Spears, Who?' (VIDEOS)
Plus, it's one of those videos that has just enough plot going on to keep you hooked. I love me a "Thriller"-esque mini-movie music video, but sometimes, seeing an artist build a quirky and concise plot into just around 4 minutes is even better. Xtina totally accomplished that here with this Pulp Fiction-y homage. No, it's not exactly Gaga's "Telephone," but I still feel like Quentin Tarantino would be proud.
You know, with the flop that was Bionic, I didn't know if Christina could get back to A-list, top of the charts status. But this is a HELLUVA a comeback! Britney, Gaga, Madonna, the whole lot of 'em better watch out, because the "Your Body" video makes it clear -- Xtina is one hot pop star mama who's kicking asses and taking names!
Well if we can't break a record, can we at least keep watching the video to reach 1 million views in 1 day?

you don't have to watch it if u don't want to, just mute the sound and keep refreshing and replaying.
The video has seriously made me love Xtina A LOT more. My opinion of her today is like a complete 180 of how it was yesterday - I really love seeing this playful side of her and made me like the song even more!
You wouldn't think from my comments on here but I actually liked her more than I did Britney in the early 2000s as well, she was one of my very first faves.
I'm rooting for her to smash this time around.
OMG, you were trashing her so much a couple months ago when I fought with you in the SYG i think it was or No holds Barred... wow! The irony...
And it's actually a fact that every Britney Stan in the world DID stan for Christina at one point because back in 99-04 the majority staned for both.
